JustGo by Sofia
O JustGo pretende ser um espaço dedicado à promoção de boas práticas de turismo acessível para pessoas com mobilidade condicionada. O objetivo é destacar locais onde as condições de acessibilidade estão verdadeiramente asseguradas, desde hotéis, restaurantes e transportes, até cidades. Ao mesmo tempo, procurando enquadrar Portugal no panorama internacional da acessibilidade. Ainda há muito caminho pela frente, claro, mas já há tanta coisa boa que merece ser mostrada e usada!
Não se pretende criar um blog em que se descrevem destinos, até porque já existem bastantes e muito bons. Pretende-se, sim, inspirar outras pessoas a saírem de casa e aventurarem-se pelo mundo, ultrapassando barreiras, sejam elas quais forem.

Após um acidente de viação, fiquei paraplégica e passei a deslocar-me em cadeira de rodas. Já lá vão uns bons anos. Viajar nunca deixou de fazer parte da minha vida, mas tornou-se… diferente. Desde o planear ao chegar, há sempre obstáculos, perguntas, receios. E é exactamente por isso que decidi criar o JustGo e partilhar a minha experiência com o objectivo de inspirar ou facilitar essa tarefa a outras pessoas.
Não costumo viajar sozinha. Não que não seja possível, já o fiz nalguns percursos, mas prefiro viajar acompanhada. Viajo, normalmente, com o meu marido, aliás é ele quem faz o plano das viagens e acreditem que, quando partimos, ele sabe todos os “buracos” por onde vamos passar! A meu cargo ficam as reservas de hotéis, transportes, visitas, etc.
Nos meus artigos partilho as experiências que vou vivendo nas cidades por onde passo.
Alguns destinos são mais dispendiosos do que outros, mas nem por isso melhores. Cada destino é uma aventura, uma surpresa, uns mais agradáveis do que outros, independentemente do lugar do mundo em que se encontram.
Quanto mais viajo, mais percebo que em Portugal temos destinos tão bons ou melhores do que os que encontro lá fora. Temos um sol maravilhoso que nunca se cansa de brilhar, um mar azul que encalha em praias lindíssimas, de areia branca, uma gastronomia riquíssima e um povo muito acolhedor… temos tudo!

JustGo is thought out to be a space for promoting good tourism practices in terms of accessibility for people with reduced mobility. It intends to spread out the word on hotels, restaurants, transportation, cities, etc, where good accessibility conditions are guaranteed. More over, JustGo also means to explore, promote and proudly place Portugal amongst some of the top cities of the world when it comes to accessibility, whilst encouraging further change and more awareness.
JustGo does not aim to be another destination blog. It will stand out by inspiring people to get out and have adventures through out the world, skipping over any barrier they might have or find.

After a car accident some years back, in which I became a paraplegic, my new means of transportation became a wheelchair. I am used to travelling and some of the difficulties I have came upon – from planning the trip to actually being there – have led to me to want to share my experience with the purpose of inspiring and easing this task for others.
I don’t normally travel by myself. Not that it isn’t possible, I have done it, but I prefer to do it accompanied by someone else. Usually, I travel with my husband who is responsible for the planning of the trips, and believe me when I tell you he knows every corner where going to be passing by! My duty is to deal with hotel reservations, transportation, visits, and whatever else is necessary.
In my articles I share experiences I’ve been through in some foreign cities which I have. As for Portuguese cities, it is my intention to create accessible routes detailed with content and images.
Some destinations will be more affordable, some less, but all of them exciting and interesting. Some more alluring than others but each place will be an adventure and a surprise in spite of where in the world they’re located.
The further I travel, the more I can find destinations of equal or superior fascination in Portugal as I do in other countries. We have a vast coast of beautiful white sanded beaches surrounded by a rich nature and the bluest sea, and a glowing sun which is always shinning. Besides that, we proud ourselves in having an extremely rich gastronomy and in being warm, welcoming people.
